Dr. Alfaifi thanked the Rector of KKU, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, for his approval of the launch of the program, and also thanked the University Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili, for his support and motivation.

For his part, the program director, Mr. Mansour Al-Qarni, gave a detailed explanation, in which he introduced the first phase of the program, which included the topics: leadership traits, leadership thinking, supervisory skills and leadership, planning, and the formulation of the vision and message.

It is worth mentioning that the pioneering Leaders program is about a student initiative that continues over a full academic year and it aims at exploring the leadership potential among young college students, so as to be refined in a systematic manner. Moreover, the program tries to provide a suitable environment for the development of leadership skills among young people, as well as to instill leadership values in the souls of the participants, and to employ their energies through short training courses, specialized readings in leadership and management thought, analytical studies, and practical projects. The result, of course, is a young man or woman, who is able to take responsibility, and to serve his or her religion, his or her country, and his or her community.
