University concludes the first maritime forum.

King Khalid University (KKU), has recently concluded the first maritime forum, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, and which took place on the shore of Aharidh Center. The forum lasted for three days. More than 70 students have participated in the forum for the sake of acquaintance among university students, and the discovery of what they carry of talents and abilities in order to be developed and to be cherished. In addition, the forum aimed at attracting a new segment of student activities, guiding ideas and behavior towards correct guidance, through awareness and cultural programs provided in the forum.

On the occasion, Student Affairs Vice - Dean for Student Activities, Dr. Nasser Al Gomishan, explained that that was the first meeting of its kind, which came with the support of the KKU Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood. The Vice - Dean further said, "In Such meeting, we are keen on the diversity of educational activities, and attracting the largest segment of students so that benefit prevails all" He added, "This meeting is social, sportive, and cultural that aims at mutual understanding and harmony among university students of different colleges. It also aims at discovering new promising talents and energies."

It is noteworthy that the event hosted a number of dignified personalities such as the Assistant Supervisor of the Poison Center at Asir Health office, Hussein Bin Mushayt, and the Head of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the university, Dr. Yahya Al-Bakri.

Cultural programs were displayed, so also several contests and competitions were carried out. They include decisiveness and hope restore competitions, which lasted for two days. Moreover, the forum carried out many other social services including the cleaning of Aharidh beach promenade.
