A contract to transport female students is in progress.

King Khalid University (KKU), represented by girls' colleges, has gone into contract with one of the national transportation companies. The contract depends on terms and standards that guarantee quality in performing the service of transporting female students.

The University Vice - President for Girls' Colleges, Prof. Saad Bin Mohammed Bin Daajm, has stated that, "the University spires to provide female students with free public transport, and to render the service for all governorates, centers, distracts, and villages, throughout the academic year." The vice - President further added, "Signing such a contract comes within the University administration's execution of the governors' directives to provide services of a high quality-degree. Different means of transport have been provided; including 2016 model of buses of varied sizes and other modern specifications. The transportation company takes into account all requirements in the vehicles; about safety and security, air conditioning, and comfortable seats."

Regarding the main routes to be covered by the transportation operations, Prof. Bin Dajm explained "It will be as follows: Abha – Taif road, including all villages between, such as Blahamr, Almaoan, and Alhema. Riyadh road to Alamadh, Atrib, and Al Areen, passing through Alkaa, Tendha, Najran, to Dhahran Al-Janoub centers and villages, and to Al-Farsha road. In addition to the tourist parks road, which is extended to Souda, Baha Rabia, Shaaf, Al-Harith, through all villages and neighborhoods, and touristic parks roads extending to Habala, Al-Maska, and Tamnia through all villages".

It is worth mentioning that tariff pictures have been pasted on all buses bearing the university logo, communication means, itineraries, and operating number. Moreover, the vehicles have been distributed to colleges, academic complexes, itineraries, and places the students gathered in neighborhoods points and villages. Work is underway to study the supply and operation of the Global Positioning System (GBS) in all buses.
