Students from the university meet the Secretary-General of the Muslim World Association.

Within the program of the Secretariat General of the Senior scientists, which adopted the issue "the highest values of Islam that discard extremism and terrorism", King Khalid University students met with His Excellency, the Secretary General of the Muslim World Association, who is also a member of the senior scientists, Prof. Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al Turki. The meeting took place on Tuesday 21 Muharram 1437 AH.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals, Dr. Ali Al-Shahrani welcomed the guest, confirming that the university was keen on the visit because it appreciates the role of the guest in fighting against deviant thoughts. The dean added, "The meeting with the Prof, Al-Turki, will undoubtedly influence all the employees of the university, who always seek to educate themselves - the employees - to stay away from all extraneous thoughts". He added, "Recently, the University has created a unit of intellectual awareness. Its goal is to curb deviant ideas, in addition to serving the university and the community through service projects, scientific researches, studies, as well as events and programs that address the causes of extremism."
