University Council approves the organizational list of Afaaq Newspaper.

The Council of the King Khalid University (KKU) has approved the organizational list of Affaq Newspaper, which is issued by the University. The list included 19 items that separate the work mechanism of the Newspaper and the selection of the General Supervisor, his deputy, and their tasks. Furthermore, the list clarified the mechanism of fiscal revenue and aspects of the exchange. The regulations of the list are being enforced since the time they were approved.

On the issue, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman Bin Hamid Al dawood has confirmed that the issuance of the list was considered a qualitative leap, as it represents an organizational base to the Afaaq Newspaper, and it was expected to meet its needs and to determine its objectives and mission. He added, "In the University Council while issuing this list, we were taking care of the reflection of the developmental experiment which took place in the Newspaper and made it to come in the first of the academic newspapers in the Kingdom."

For his part, the Advisor and the General Supervisor of Afaaq Newspaper, who is also the Chief Editor, Prof. Ali Alqarni stated that the issuance of that list was considered an additional pioneering act that could be added to the achievements of the list on the level of the academic journalism in the Kingdom. He further asserted that "the list will add to the Newspaper an organizational power that could enhance the building of modern university journalism with highly professional qualities. Prof. Alqarni thanked the University President for his continuous keenness to the affairs of Afaaq Newspaper, the thing which strengthens its place among other university newspapers in the Kingdom. He said, "I would like to express my pleasure, and that of my colleagues, on the issuance of the list, which synchronizes with the second phase of the development of Afaaq in order to keep its pioneering position among other Saudi Universities."
