Information Technology launches "Permission" system.

King Khalid University, Media Center

The General Department of Information Technology (IT) of King Khalid University (KKU) has recently launched the "Permission" system, which allows the employees of the University to send, if necessary, a permission letter during official working hours. After sending the request, it reaches the supervisor in charge of the department where the employee works. In turn, the supervisor approves or rejects the request.

One distinguishing feature of the system is that it can determine the time in which the employee wants to go out by inserting the leaving time, in addition to determining the expected time of return and the reason for the permission. The employee will receive an SMS on his / her mobile immediately upon the acceptance of the request. The new system also provides instant messaging service for the supervisor when receiving any request for permission in order to take appropriate action regarding it.

The system has been already activated effectively in all sections of the administration. The system also features additional advantages; including providing a request of permission for a maximum of two hours. The system also does not allow the employee to exceed the number of permitted hours in a month - 6 hours per month. The system further provides the monthly reports for all beneficiaries and the possibility of linking these reports with other systems in the future.
