The King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Library Affairs has joined a database (weL), which is specialized in the field of e-books. The database (WeL) contains more than three million e-book that cover various scientific and academic disciplines. The move comes within the university's interest to provide electronic scientific books which are a cornerstone in the processes of education.

For his part, the Dean of Library Affairs Dr. Saeed Bin Qassim Al-Khalidi stated that the university had already joined the Saudi Digital Library, which includes 57 databases and more than 300 thousand e-books from worldwide publishing houses. He added, "In addition, the Library includes hundreds of thousands of researches that were published in global scientific journals or periodicals". The deanship further called on all the employees of the university; faculty members and students of the graduate studies to take advantage of these electronic resources provided by the university for the sake of its employees.
