University opens a medical library containing 7 thousand books.

King Khalid University Vice - President for Health Affairs, Dr. Khalid Saad Al Jelban opened today, a medical library, with a stock of more than 7 thousand books, covering various fields of medicine and medical sciences. The library includes four units: a unit for the new and modern books received by the library, a reference unit which contains the reference books and general books, a unit which contains non-Arabic medical books, as well as the unit of the Arabic books that includes medical books in Arabic.

The Dean of Library Affairs of King Khalid, Dr. Saeed Qassim Al-Khalidi explained that the Deanship had provided modern copying machines, which of course would be of benefit to users through copying what they want - whether books or periodicals. The Dean further highlighted the library services provided to beneficiaries in the area of borrowing books and returning them. Furthermore, the library guides beneficiaries on how to use the library and to identify the holdings. Al-Khaldi also pointed at the University President's insistence to allocate a medical library for students of health disciplines near their faculty, stating that the President's insistence has a role in improving health and academic services provided to the students. The Dean added that the Deanship has determined library work hours, which are from 8.00 o'clock am to 6:00 o'clock pm.
