University to organize two courses: strategic planning, facilitate meetings, in Dubai.

King Khalid University, represented by the Vice - Presidency of Development and Quality has held two training programs, which targeted nearly 40 academic leaders and faculty members, male and female. Holding such programs is within the framework of the second phase of the strategic plan of the university, which was held in Dubai City from 18 to 22/1/ 2015 AD under the titled "Managing strategic initiatives and the skills to facilitate meetings." The first training course programs included a strategic initiative management course, which aimed at delivering the areas of knowledge in strategic planning and analysis requirements to achieve strategic initiatives, project management, strategic programs and portfolios. Furthermore, the the aim of the course is develop analytical thinking skills, problem-solving capability, as well as to develop skills and business practices, decision analysis, and root analysis.

The second course tackled the area of skills needed to facilitate meetings. The trainee could obtain an accredited certificate granting him or her the title of "Accredited Facilitator" The course presented the principles and foundations of facilitation, teaching strategies, the presentation of meetings, as well as mechanisms of meetings and lectures management "Interactive and applied dynamic", in addition to presenting more effective educational lectures, and a number of skills that are helpful in facilitating the establishment of meetings.

On this regard, the Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Marzn Alshahrani thanked and appreciated the University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood for his commitment and support for the programs of the deanship. As a result, professional development for faculty members was touched. Moreover, Alshahrani expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Vice - President of Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili on the follow-up and support, which has an effective role in succeeding in these programs.
