The Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education at King Khalid University (KKU) Dr. Mubark Saeed Hamdan discussed the ways of cooperation and partnership with the manager of training section in the General Directorate of Passports, major Abdurrahman Shaya Al Qahtani. The discussion includes providing a number of developmental and educational training courses in the area of ( Computer, English Language, and Management of Human Resources) for the directorate employees in order to improve their working skills.

The Dean explained that "this meeting is a part of the cooperation between the University and the Passport Department in many areas that benefit the community in general. The aim of the training courses is to develop the skills of Directorate staff in various fields, which will reflect positively on the services they provide to the public".

Furthermore, Dr. Hamdan noted that signing such partnerships with various governmental and private entities was one the University's social and cultural responsibilities, pointing to the University's concern to perform its role in serving the community, as part of its mission toward the society.

In turn, the manager of training section in General Directorate of Passports in Asir stressed on advantages of this cooperation which will reflect positively on the services provided by the staff of the Passports Department to the citizens and residents. Moreover, he valued the important role of the Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship of KKU in promoting effective partnerships with the various governmental and private entities to serve the community, stating further that, "this partnership comes within the guidance of the director of Asir Passports department, brigadier general Saad Rehil Al Sweidi. Consequently, the cooperation will benefit the department employees by improving their practical level, and will equip them with the necessary skills that will help them to do their jobs properly.
