Launching the 3rd round of the University "Excellence Awards".

The General Secretariat of the King Khalid University awards of Excellence at the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality has announced the start of the 3rd round of the award for this academic year. The Secretariat will begin to receive nominations for the awards starting from the 12th of the next month to the 14th of Jumada I. Sorting and approval of the winners will be on the 16th of Jumada II.

King Khalid University Vice - President for Development and Quality, and the General Supervisor of Excellence Awards, Dr. Ahmad Yahya Aljbaili stated that the university leadership was keen on achieving the strategic goals - reaching a significant research, service-featured and scientific level in all its administrative, academic, research and service activities. He further said, "In the desire to provide real academic and administrative services, which enhance motivation among all university employees, the University has launched King Khalid University Excellence Awards." He also pointed out that "there are many goals that the university seeks to achieve from the launch of its awards, including: to push university employees towards positive creative competition, to achieve excellence in their performance to improve the academic, educational and administrative work, to estimate the outstanding university employees and to highlight their achievements, and encourage students to scientific collection and creativity, and other purposes". The Vice-President stressed that the achievement of those goals besides going on upgrading various performance levels enabled the University to occupy advanced places in different recognized rankings of universities. He concluded by noting that progress could not have been achieved without the grace of God the Almighty, and with the continuous support from the governors in this country, whose wise leadership is pushing the Kingdom to the ranks of developed countries.

It is noteworthy that the award includes five key areas: the award of the distinguished member of the teaching staff, the distinguished student award, the distinguished employee award, the excellence award for community service (individuals), and the excellence award for community service (faculties, departments).
