King Khalid University, represented by the Central Volunteering Club and the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion Club (male students' division), in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs' Agency for Student Activities, organized the first Ramadan Qur'anic Exhibition as part of the "Ajawid 3" initiative. The event took place at Mujan Park in Khamis Mushait, with the attendance of the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed Da’ajam, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Misfer Al-Qahtani.
Dr. Areej Al-Ansari, Supervisor of the Volunteering Club at King Khalid University, highlighted the remarkable success of the exhibition, emphasizing that it was organized to promote noble human values derived from the Holy Qur'an—discipline, tolerance, honesty, and belonging. These values were showcased through six main sections, each carefully named after Qur'anic verses reflecting its meaning and significance.
Al-Ansari noted that the exhibition featured a special section on Qur'anic sciences, overseen by the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion. This section displayed detailed interpretations and explanations through interactive screens. Another section focused on volunteering, showcasing the club’s achievements, along with precise statistics on the number of volunteers and programs implemented. Additionally, a dedicated corner on the biography of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during Ramadan highlighted significant historical events and the values of tolerance and discipline he embodied in his daily and professional life.
The exhibition also included a health and nutrition awareness section titled "Eat and Drink, But Do Not Waste," aimed at promoting balance and avoiding extravagance, particularly during Ramadan. There was also a children's section named "Wealth and Children Are the Beauties of This World," featuring cultural and educational competitions as well as interactive games to instill Islamic values in young minds. Moreover, short stories on social and educational values were distributed to children.
Al-Ansari pointed out the large turnout and enthusiastic engagement from various community segments, including citizens and expatriates of different nationalities, especially Muslim communities. Copies of the Qur’an and gifts were distributed in multiple languages, including Filipino, Urdu, and Indonesian, fostering cultural and social connection among attendees. At the event’s conclusion, symbolic gifts were handed out, including translated versions of Hisn Al-Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) and translated Qur'ans, reinforcing the spirit of faith and human connection among visitors.
