KKU and the National Institute for Professional Development in Education Seek to Strengthen Partnership in Teacher Preparation

King Khalid University Acting President Prof. Saad Mohammed bin Dajam, welcomed the Director General of the National Institute for Professional Development in Education, Dr. Bader bin Shuja’a Al Harbi, the Institute's Strategy Development Consultant, Dr. Salah bin Saud Al Issa, and the Director of the Media and Institutional Communication Department, Ms. Noura bint Mufrih Al Habtoor; at the University City in Al Fara'a.

A meeting was held with the delegation in the presence of the University Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Mohammed Hamed Al Baheri, and the Dean of the College of Education at King Khalid University, Dr. Sami Musbih Al Shehri, in addition to a number of faculty members and administrators from the university. The meeting discussed cooperation and partnership between the university and the National Institute for Professional Development in Education in the teacher preparation project, to enhance the quality of education and vocational training for teachers in the Kingdom.

In his welcoming speech, the University Vice President for Administrative Affairs stressed the importance of this visit in strengthening the partnership between the university and the Institute, praising the prominent role played by the institute in developing teacher preparation.

On his part, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Sami Musbih Al Shehri, explained that this visit reflects the university's commitment to developing teacher preparation programs in accordance with the latest international standards and practices, which ensures that they are provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to become distinguished teachers and meet the needs of the educational system in the Kingdom.

To conclude the meeting, a set of practical steps to strengthen cooperation were agreed upon, including the organization of workshops and joint training programs, in addition to an overall exchange of experiences between the two parties.
