King Khalid University Hosts the Academic Enrichment Program 2024, in Cooperation with Mauhiba

Thursday, July 2 marks the launch of the "Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program 2024", which is organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Talent and Creativity (Mawhiba), in cooperation with King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, for a period of three weeks. 100 gifted students from all around the Kingdom participated in the program.
The Director of the Talent and Creativity Unit at King Khalid University, Dr. Jamila Mashbab Al-Rawi, welcomed the participants, and expressed her joy at the launch of this summer program. She stressed that the program aims to enrich knowledge, raise efficiency, and build scientific and practical experiences for students, according to approved global methodologies. She pointed out that the program includes various activities that focus on developing personal skills and preparing students for effective participation in other programs inside and outside the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Rawi explained that the program relies on teaching the scientific curriculum of the enrichment units by a group of distinguished academics, in addition to skills training in 21st-century skills by specialized trainers.
She stated that the program aims to provide a scientific and enriching environment that enables students to interact with their gifted peers from the same age group and practice scientific activities under the supervision of specialists. This helps students broaden their horizons, discover new scientific fields, and set their future goals. The program also contributes to investing students' time during the summer vacation effectively and productively.
Dr. Al-Rawi indicated that the program includes a variety of activities, including advanced scientific content, personal skills, field trips, and cultural activities. The program extends from 24-12-1445H to 12-1-1446H, to include three enrichment units in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and engineering design principles.
It is noteworthy that the program targets gifted students in their third year of middle school and first year of high school, and is held for male students in the university city in Al-Fara'a, and for female students in the university city for female students in Quraiqir.
