Sports Union Championship for the Saudi universities; 6 medals for KKU.

The King Khalid University (KKU) has won 2 gold and 4 bronze medals in Taekwondo in its participation in the 5th Sports Union Championship for the Saudi universities. 25 Saudi universities have participated in the competition and the avenue was at Prince Naif Abdul Aziz Sports City in Al-Qatif province in the eastern region. The University secured a gold medal in the weight category of 58 Kg, won by the student Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ayed, and another student Nawaf bin Ali Al-Medawi won another gold medal in the weight category of 80 Kg with 34 points. Other students namely Sultan bin Mohammed Abdel Wahab, Anas bin Abdullah Laheq, Muhanna bin Ali Al-Shehri, and Faris bin Nasser Al-Badan won a bronze medal each, under the supervision of coach Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani.

On this occasion, the Dean of Student Affairs of King Khalid University, Dr. Merra'a bin Saad Al-Habash congratulated all the winners and training staff. He stressed on the university's readiness to be present in all events and activities that will hone the students' talents, as well as strengthen relationship among students through their participation in many events and occasions in various activities.
