University organizes a workshop for the development of the duties and powers of the heads of departments
The university, represented by the Deanship of faculty and staff members, organized last Thursday, a workshop entitled "The duties and powers of heads of departments in colleges and supportive deanships"
The establishment of this workshop comes at the direction of the Rector, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy to develop the duties and powers of the heads of departments of the university, in order to achieve progress for the sake of the university in various fields through the various departments.
The workshop was attended by more than 60 department heads, during which they discussed the many opportunities and challenges facing their departments in daily and future tasks.
Participants also made many proposals for the development of their duties and powers, which resulted in a number of recommendations at the end of the workshop. Among recommendations were support for continuous communication between department heads for the exchange successful experiences. Moreover, the workshop recommended working on unifying the organizational structures of the heads of departments in faculties and supportive Deanships, in addition to proposing some amendments to the duties and powers of the heads of departments in faculties and supportive deanships.
