University receives more than 1,700 visitors

Through its annual report, the General Directorate for University Relations of King Khalid University (KKU) has revealed that visitors who were received by the university during the academic year 1435/1436 AH, reached more than 1,700 persons. Visitors included academicians and students from outside Asir region. They participated in scientific activities and events held by the University.

The number of the international professors who came from various distinguished universities in the world reached 26 in number. Moreover, the University received 160 international students within the student mutual visits programs among global universities, in addition to more than 600 researchers who associated with other academicians in various scientific conferences and symposia, which were marked by the University in its organization of various academic activities during the last academic year.

The report pointed out that the number of external discussants who were received by the university reached 108 academicians. They participated in the discussion of various scientific dissertations which were presented and approved in university colleges and departments. At the same time, the number of visitors from the Kingdom was about 850 persons within different programs and objectives.

In his turn, the General Supervisor for the University Relations of the University Dr. Mohammad Al beheiri stated that those visits and participation came within the framework of the university, based on its interests in the exchange of knowledge and experience with various educational and scientific communities within the Kingdom and outside of it. The General Supervisor continued that "the purpose of such visits is to develop the scientific and cognitive abilities of the university employees including both students and teaching staff. In addition, the University aims at enriching the research processes in Kingdom, as well as to highlight what the University reached of distinctive capabilities and potentialities on all scientific and professional levels.
