Rector Al-Solamy Sponsors the Student Activities Closing Ceremony
His Excellency the University Rector, Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solamy, sponsored the closing ceremony for student activities in the presence of honored guest, Sheikh Faisal ibn Jameel Ghazzawi, at the University Sports Hall.
Following His Excellency’s arrival, the ceremony started with a stirring recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a visual presentation on the Deanship's of Student Affairs activities. In his remarks, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Otheed, welcomed Rector Al-Solamy and Sheikh Faisal ibn Jameel Ghazzawi, highlighting that the Deanship of Student Affairs is home to talented students and a comprehensive support system. He also provided a presentation on the successful events held throughout the year.
The ceremony included the announcement of the 2017-2018 Student Club Awards. In first place came the College of Medicine. In second place came the College of Applied Medicine. In third place entered the College of Shariah and Fundamentals. At the level of clubs, there were three finalists. The Safahat Club came in first place, followed by the Collaborative Programs Club in second place and in third Alnzaha Club.
Rector Al-Solamy expressed his sincere gratitude for the activities he witnessed from the clubs, centers, and deanships. He further related that he was proud of what the University accomplished during the year in festivals, plays, and activities in addition to the Athletic Department's success. He concluded by explaining that the efforts and achievements are sources of hope for the University’s future and that our real future lies within our students who should join together to achieve even more in the coming year.
