University Starts Receiving Electronic Registration Requests for a Month
King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, will begin to receive applications for registration for the academic year 1438/1439H for one month, starting on the 10th of Shawwal until the 10th of Dhu Al-Qadah through the “Academia” portal. Applications are going to be received entirely electronically.
Dr. Al-Qarni: Admission of this year will be as usual, in an electronic form, and will not require the student or guardian to review the Deanship
For his part, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Qarni, said that admission to this year will be as usual, in an electronic form, and will not require the student or guardian to review the Deanship or send any documents to the University.
He also confirmed the completion of the process of withdrawing the marks of capacity and achievement tests in addition to the secondary stage ratios from concerned parties. He pointed out that data will be updated automatically until 10/11/1438. No results of any capacity or achievement tests will be considered after this date.
Dr. Al-Qarni noted the need to complete the applications and adhere to the specified registration dates, and in the event of any electronic problem, the student has to quickly communicate with the Deanship before the closing of the registration period.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration confirmed that the Deanship enhanced the admission procedures by implementing systematic flexibility, which in turn allows the student to change the specialization after admission through electronic services available on the website according to the available seats in various specialties. He further asserted that after filtration, there would be a sorting stage which will be performed on three different levels according to the percentages of applicants. It is important to note that the applicant has to diligently fill out the form himself and choose disciplines that suit his desires and abilities.
He indicated that the qualifying percentage (secondary + achievement + abilities) would be taken into account in health, engineering, computer disciplines, in addition to the scientific colleges and special education for male students, and all disciplines for female students. On the other hand, acceptance will be admitted according to the balanced percentage (secondary and abilities) in literary specialties for male students only.
It is worth mentioning that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration of King Khalid University has distributed more than 25,000 acceptance leaflets and a guide for secondary stage students in schools and gathering places, such as achievement and abilities test areas. The Deanship also provided a paper and electronic specialties directory, which will clarify the available specialties at the University and work fields in the future.
